If you live in a property (most likely a flat or apartment) which has a room sealed, fan assisted boiler with a flue which is concealed behind a ceiling or wall, then a gas engineer will be unable to inspect the flue properly. Any problems with a flue could put you and your family at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Therefore the regulations require you to have inspection panels fitted allowing the gas flue to be inspected.
